Nicknamed the “railway town<\/strong>,” the history of Veynes<\/a> is intimately linked to the development of the railway that shaped its identity. The Ecomuseum of the Veynes Railway Worker<\/a> is its privileged witness. Through six exhibition rooms in an 18th-century mansion on Rue du Jeu de Paume, the history of Veynes railway workers unfolds from 1850 to the present day<\/strong>, across 250 m\u00b2 of exceptional collections related to railway professions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Life-size reconstructions of a steam locomotive cabin, a ticket office from 1900, a lamp room\u2026 Films, models and model railway circuits, and the office of Adrien Ruelle, the engineer who left his mark on 19th-century Veynes\u2014a must-see for young and old alike!
