Water Activities in the Petit Bu\u00ebch Valley<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Bu\u00ebch<\/strong> is much more than a river\u2014it’s a constant invitation to enjoy water in all its forms. This 85 km tributary of the Durance flows through colorful valleys scented with lavender and thyme, in a Natura 2000 classified area recognized for its ecological richness. Trout, white-clawed crayfish, bullhead fish\u2026 the aquatic wildlife is remarkable. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Swimming and Cooling Off<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a 2-minute walk<\/strong> from Camping Solaire, the Bu\u00ebch River<\/strong> and Veynes municipal lake<\/a> welcome you for free, supervised swimming. The lake has a designated swimming area, a dock, restrooms, and rinse showers. There are also lovely swimming spots near Aspres-sur-Bu\u00ebch and Val Bu\u00ebch-M\u00e9ouge, a few kilometers from Veynes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fishing in the Bu\u00ebch<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fishing plays an important role along the waterway. The Bu\u00ebch is classified as second category between Serres and Sisteron, and first category upstream from Serres. A French fishing license is all you need to fish in the Bu\u00ebch and Petit Bu\u00ebch. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
